Minnesota’s Weather Authority issues Alert due to strong afternoon thunderstorms — Woodbury Schools news

Minnesota’s Weather Authority has issued an Alert due to strong afternoon thunderstorms. Location The storm is expected to move from west to east across central Minnesota before western Wisconsin should see some activity in the evening hours. Timing Warmer temperatures will help fuel thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening with rain chances around 70%. Threats Not everyone will see severe weather, but any stronger storm could bring gusty winds, hail, heavy rain, and frequent lightning. A strong or severe storm or two is possible, so if you have Wednesday afternoon or evening plans, keep the forecast close. The timing could overlap with the evening commute, after-school activities, practices, and other outdoor events.
